A: This is a D-size cylindrical nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable battery, nominal 1.2V, rated capacity 10000mAh. It replaces disposable D (LR20/AM-1) cells in compatible devices.
Q2: What is this D-size 10000mAh NiMH battery used for?
A: The 10000mAh D cell provides very long runtime for high-drain devices—large flashlights, boomboxes, motorized toys, emergency lights and industrial equipment—reducing recharge frequency.
Q3: How do I charge this large NiMH cell?
A: Use a NiMH/NiCd charger that accepts D-size cells at about 0.1C for 14-16 hours, or a smart charger with -dV/dt and temperature cut-off for faster charging. Do not use a Li-ion-only charger.
Q4: What is the cycle life and can cells be assembled into packs?
A: Expect 500-1000 cycles under IEC-standard conditions. We can weld cells into custom multi-cell packs with tabs, wires, connectors and PCM/BMS for higher-voltage applications.
Q5: Can you customize these batteries with tabs, wires, connectors or private label?
A: Yes. As the OEM/ODM factory we can add nickel solder tabs, lead wires and connectors, match and balance cells, add PCM/BMS protection for packs, and customize PVC heat-shrink colour and printing, retail blister cards and private-label branding on our large NiMH cells and packs.
